Everett is three months old!! Oh my goodness! This month definitely flew by but it was so much fun!

This month Everett:

  • Has started to giggle! He doesn’t do it alllll the time, but when he does it is the absolute cutest thing! He especially loves when you touch his nose or kiss his neck!
  • Definitely has learned when mom walks away from him and does NOT like it. He is super chill but he always wants to be held or talked to, and will watch as I walk away and start to get sad. Haha. But even just talking to him calms him down!
  • Got his tongue tie released! After all of the problems Clyde had from his tongue tie, we decided to get Everett’s released as well, even though he hasn’t had problems gaining weight. It’s been hard doing stretches and what not but he’s healing great and latching great too!
  • Got diagnosed with Torticollis. Basically it means that his head has difficulty turning to his left side which effects nursing (he can only eat in football hold) as well as it has made it so his head is flattening on one side and kind of bulging on the other. For treatment we have been going to the chiropractor and will have to continue to do so 3x’s per week for a couple of months. However, after only 2 adjustments we have seen AMAZING progress and he is already eating better in a cross cradle position and turning his neck SO much easier! Go Ev!
  • Has the CUTEST pouty lip that comes out when someone he doesn’t recognize talks to him. It’s kinda sad but also SO cute.
  • Is growing out of his 0-3 month clothes but still in size 1 diapers!
  • Has been waking up once per night (well at like 6am) and will ONLY go back to sleep if he is held.. then he passes out immediately.
  • This month we:
  • Celebrated Christmas! That was definitely the highlight of the month and sooo much fun. Of course it was Ev’s first Christmas but it also felt like Clyde’s because he is able to understand so much better this year! He loved pointing out “trees” and “Santa” everywhere we went and he was such a light on Christmas morning. He got a kitchen and his favorite BUZZ! Everett LOVED laying under the tree and looking at the Christmas lights!
  • Went sledding, saw lots of Christmas lights, saw Santa at the aquarium, made lots of cookies, and watched LOTS of Christmas movies!
  • Celebrated New Years! We had some friends over for food and games and rang in the new year! We celebrated with the kiddos before bed time and then partied until almost 5 am! The next day was rough. Hahaha

Everett is two months old!! He is the most patient and sweet baby and we just love him so much!

This month Everett:

  • Rolled over for the first time! He rolled from his tummy to his back at the beginning of the month. For a while he did this every time we did tummy time but now he’s more content being on his tummy. (: 
  • Started cooing! His tiny little voice melts our heart!
  • LOVES being talked to. Seriously you can just talk to him and he will smile the entire time! He loves it!
  • Loves eye contact! He never wants to be out of your sight. Haha
  • Is smiling a ton! He is so happy and smiles at just about everything but especially when Clyde talks to him!
  • Is 10 pounds and 13.6 ounces! He’s exactly 2 pounds and 1 ounce more than Clyde was at that age! So we’d say he’s growing like a weed!
  • Will now only take his Wubbanub binky!

This month we:

  • Went to the Curiosity Museum with Uncle Kennan and Aunt Kennidi! I wore Everett in my Wildbird and he slept the entire time! Clyde had so much fun as always!
  • Had a Friendsgiving dinner with our neighborhood friends! Caden loved smoking the turkey and I loved making the homemade Mac and cheese and rolls! We really are grateful for good friends!
  • Celebrated Everett’s first Thanksgiving! Because of COVID, my extended family cancelled their dinner so we just had dinner with Caden’s family and then visited my immediate family and ate some good food! It was a different day seeing much less family but it was a good time nonetheless!
  • Took Clyde to his first dentist appointment! He was a literal angel and just sat there and watched Coco Melon on the little bench. Haha. I was worried he’d be nervous or just not open his mouth, but he did awesome!

I can’t believe Everett is already one month old!! Time has FLOWN!! I can’t keep up.. haha. Everett is seriously the sweetest, calmest, happy baby! He is overall very content and is so patient with all the big hugs from his excited big brother! We can’t imagine not having him in our family, and love him so so much!

This month Everett:

  • Eats super well! From seconds after he was born til now, he has been such a great eater! He eats about every 3 hours during the day and at most once per night!
  • SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT! Not sure what I did to get so lucky but he is another great sleeper! Heaven knows I need it. Everett sleeps anywhere from 6-12 hours straight, typically only waking once to eat and then going back to bed.
  • Does NOT love binkies. I’m all about binkies especially for things like during car rides, shots/drs appts, bedtime, etc. We’ve tried a LOT of different brands and he has come around to Bib’s and will occasionally take the blue Soothie. It’s a fight to get it in his pour little mouth but once it’s in he likes it.. until it falls out seconds later.
  • Loves to cuddle! He would lay on my chest all day everyday if he could! He’s the best snuggler!
  • Is called: Ev, Evey, Little Ev, and “Baby”
  • Also loves: his car seat, smiling, baths, staring at lights, touching his face, tummy time, being worn, being swaddled and spitting up (;
  • Hates: his Mamaroo… and that’s about it. He is a really chill, happy baby!!

This month we:

  • Adjusted to having two babies! It’s been crazy some days and normal others. Clyde LOVES to help in any way he can. His favorite is taking all of the diapers to the trash can! Like we’re talking if he sees a diaper on the ground.. he immediately picks it up and throws it away and will be upset if you do it for him. Haha. I’ve been so impressed with how well he has taken his big brother role! He sometimes has a hard time understanding that mom can’t “hep” right when he asks but is overall very, very patient with all of us and seriously LOVES his baby.
  • Finished our Cornbelly’s season off with taking Ev at only a week old. He did amazing and slept the entire time in his sling! It’s our favorite tradition and it was so fun to enjoy it as a family of 4!
  • Celebrated Halloween! Clyde is currently obsessed with “Toodles” (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) so we decided to dress as Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy! It turned out so cute and it was so much fun!! The first day I tried on my costume Clyde immediately knew I was “Mimi” and was SO excited. Holidays are my absolute favorite with kids!

Being pregnant during a pandemic

Turns out when you’re pregnant through a pandemic, with a toddler, things get a little crazy. I’ve definitely slacked with blogging but I’m back! I figured before I shared pictures of our new addition, I should probably document the fact that I was pregnant at all. Haha

I got pregnant when Clyde was 10 months old, but by the time I was 9 weeks and started wanting to tell people, COVID happened. To be honest, it was a pretty sad time to be pregnant because we couldn’t celebrate it with all of our loved ones like we wanted to. We didn’t have a fun gender reveal party, instead we gathered with only our parents, six feet + apart with masks. At the time we thought that it would all pass at least before our baby BOY was born, but oh what a year it has been!!

As time went on, I was really grateful to be pregnant during this crazy year. Knowing I was having a baby in 2020 made me remember that there would be JOY at the end of the tunnel and it was all going to be okay. This year made me want more than ever to raise strong, resilient, kind children. It taught me that all I really need is within the walls of my own home.

Being pregnant in a pandemic wasn’t always fun, but I’m grateful for the extra time I had to connect with my unborn baby, and my other boys at home too.

Growing up, birthday parties were something my mom took very seriously! I always had a fun themed party with everyone I loved, a special cake, all of it. Those are some of my very best childhood memories!

I have always looked forward to throwing my own children’s birthday parties one day and now that day is here! Clyde is ONE!!

When I found the idea of a “One Happy Camper” themed party, I KNEW that’s exactly what I wanted to do. Clyde is the happiest kid I know so it was honestly perfect for him! Plus, bears and mountains are the theme of his nursery so it fit even better. (:

We were so blessed to work with SEVERAL amazing small businesses to make this party come together! They each worked closely with me to create exactly what I was envisioning and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to! I will include all of their info below as well as where everything else is from in case you have a cute One Happy Camper party coming up too!

We had an absolute blast and Clyde loved seeing lots of his favorite people, and we felt the ones who were there in spirit! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love us! Happy birthday sweet baby boy!

Wow.

Clyde, Every single day of this past year I have wondered how I was lucky enough to be your mama. You brighten my life, make me smile when all I want to do is cry, make me laugh when you’re being “naughty”, make me feel LOVE like I’ve never felt before. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You seriously are the most special boy. Every single person you meet is touched by your sweet spirit and contagious smile. You have softened the hearts of many and have already changed so many worlds. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Here’s some things I never want to forget about you right now:⁣⁣
⁣⁣

  • You are the BEST sleeper. You’ve slept 10-12 hours straight since you were just a few weeks old. You’re also a great napper, unless you decide you’re not ready and then you bang on the walls with both hands. 😳⁣⁣
  • You LOVE to eat. Your favorites right now are bananas and oranges, but you have tried 100+ foods and love basically everything you can get your hands on! Except for tomatoes, just like your daddy. When you get hungry you make your way to the highchair and bang on it until we give you food. 😂⁣⁣
  • You’re still breastfeeding and I don’t think either of us are ready for that to end. “Mama” is your favorite. ⁣⁣
  • You love to stick your tongue out when you’re being silly and it makes us laugh, without fail, every time. ⁣⁣
  • You recently learned to shake your finger at us when you’re saying “no, no, no” 🤣⁣⁣
  • You can walk with your push walker but have no interest in walking alone quite yet. But that’s okay because you still get everywhere you need to go!⁣⁣
  • You love to read books! Your favorite right now is “Baby Signs” and anytime I say any of the words from the book you get the book for me and play peek a boo with it. ☺️⁣⁣

You’re the happiest, friendliest, funniest, BEST baby and we love you so much. Happy Birthday sweet boy! ❤️

Only one more month until my baby is ONE!! It’s hitting HARD this month that he is growing up and it’s honestly so amazing and soul crushing at the same time. Haha

This month Clyde:

  • Is pulling up onto EVERYTHING!!! There’s no more being content for this one. He is on it all!
  • Is walking along furniture.. and FAST! The beginning of the month we were amazed he was walking along the table as we tempted him with cheerios haha. But mid month he was making laps!
  • Tried more new foods: kiwi, tilapia, sticky fingers, hummus, noodles, lasagna, Dunford chocolate chocolate donut, chicken salad, gogurt, finally liked oatmeal (mixed with oranges,) cup of noodles, pad Thai, and orange chicken.
  • Waves “hi” and “bye” on demand! ANYtime someone says one of those words, he waves. Doesn’t matter if it was said to him or not. Haha. In the car the other day I said “bye Felicia” to Caden and he started waving. It was adorable and hilarious.
  • Climbs stairs! That was his birthday present to me. Haha. He had never climbed a single stair before and then just climbed the entire flight of stairs without a second thought! It was impressive!
  • Loves to turn on his humidifier himself.. and is always playing with the knob to do so.
  • Started signing “more” Really he just claps but that is what it means to him so I’m going with it. Haha
  • Gives the WETEST of kisses. Usually your whole face is wet and it’s the best.
  • Loves to dance anytime he hears a beat! He will shake his head to the side, bounce up and down and shake his booty! His all time favorite song is the “Get Up” but he also enjoys Baby Shark, Popcorn Popping, and any song that he can dance to really.
  • Opens alllll the cabinets! Especially in the bathroom and our kitchen’s hutch. He loves trying to do it before mom or dad can catch him!
  • Says: “nana” (which usually he means “no” by) and “mmmm” anytime he is eating something yummy.
  • Learned to sit from a standing position! This was so fun to watch him learn. He would bend down slowly at first, then he just casually started moving from standing to sitting to crawling, etc.

This month we:

  • Adjusted to dog life. Haha. Clyde still enjoys trying to eat dog food and splashing in her water.. so that’s been fun. But they are sooo funny together! They’re seriously best friends and follow each other around EVERYWHERE. I always find them in mischief together and it’s pretty hard to be mad. Haha
  • Celebrated my 25th birthday! We celebrated with a family dinner at my moms, a friends game night and brownies at our house, and Caden took me to The Melting Pot! We had a ton of fun! The food wasn’t my fave which was sad but the chocolate fondue was AMAZING and it was just a really fun time just the two of us!
  • Took a spontaneous trip to St. George with some of our best friends! We seriously decided to go on a Tuesday at like 9pm, invited our friends, and left Thursday afternoon. It was SO MUCH FUN. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking but it was a weekend to remember for sure.
