Clyde loved his cake smash session! Eating is his favorite activity so I wasn’t surprised at all. He kept it pretty clean and savored every piece saying “mmmm” with every bite! We made it camping themed to match his One Happy Camper themed birthday party and I love how it turned out!

Growing up, birthday parties were something my mom took very seriously! I always had a fun themed party with everyone I loved, a special cake, all of it. Those are some of my very best childhood memories!

I have always looked forward to throwing my own children’s birthday parties one day and now that day is here! Clyde is ONE!!

When I found the idea of a “One Happy Camper” themed party, I KNEW that’s exactly what I wanted to do. Clyde is the happiest kid I know so it was honestly perfect for him! Plus, bears and mountains are the theme of his nursery so it fit even better. (:

We were so blessed to work with SEVERAL amazing small businesses to make this party come together! They each worked closely with me to create exactly what I was envisioning and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to! I will include all of their info below as well as where everything else is from in case you have a cute One Happy Camper party coming up too!

We had an absolute blast and Clyde loved seeing lots of his favorite people, and we felt the ones who were there in spirit! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love us! Happy birthday sweet baby boy!

ONE. WHOLE. YEAR.

Wow.

Clyde, Every single day of this past year I have wondered how I was lucky enough to be your mama. You brighten my life, make me smile when all I want to do is cry, make me laugh when you’re being “naughty”, make me feel LOVE like I’ve never felt before. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You seriously are the most special boy. Every single person you meet is touched by your sweet spirit and contagious smile. You have softened the hearts of many and have already changed so many worlds. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Here’s some things I never want to forget about you right now:⁣⁣
⁣⁣

  • You are the BEST sleeper. You’ve slept 10-12 hours straight since you were just a few weeks old. You’re also a great napper, unless you decide you’re not ready and then you bang on the walls with both hands. 😳⁣⁣
  • You LOVE to eat. Your favorites right now are bananas and oranges, but you have tried 100+ foods and love basically everything you can get your hands on! Except for tomatoes, just like your daddy. When you get hungry you make your way to the highchair and bang on it until we give you food. 😂⁣⁣
  • You’re still breastfeeding and I don’t think either of us are ready for that to end. “Mama” is your favorite. ⁣⁣
  • You love to stick your tongue out when you’re being silly and it makes us laugh, without fail, every time. ⁣⁣
  • You recently learned to shake your finger at us when you’re saying “no, no, no” 🤣⁣⁣
  • You can walk with your push walker but have no interest in walking alone quite yet. But that’s okay because you still get everywhere you need to go!⁣⁣
  • You love to read books! Your favorite right now is “Baby Signs” and anytime I say any of the words from the book you get the book for me and play peek a boo with it. ☺️⁣⁣

You’re the happiest, friendliest, funniest, BEST baby and we love you so much. Happy Birthday sweet boy! ❤️
